True, long story short… Where I grew up way back in the Sierra Nevada range of California, Hydro power by the Southern California Edison company was the “workforce” to our mountain community. Everyone worked for Edison. In fact, the elementary school I went to was pretty much just built for the employees of the Edison company. Yes, a 45 minute bus ride to school everyday… Anyway, I was just recently in California on vacation and my dad handed me this very old, very crumbling box of stamps. He said he found them at a yard sale. On the inside of the box it read Southern California Edison Company. And when I saw that, and saw the font, I immediately got a flashback and remembered seeing this font EVERYWHERE stamped on all the hydro power pinstocks and equipment.
So I am now calling the font set “The Edison Collection” and offering them (one or two letters/numbers per disk). So if you would rather have a necklace with just one letter, then this is THE coolest font ever. And know that when you order one… you’re ordering a piece of antique history of the guy who started it all….. Thomas Edison!!! ;c) Enjoy!!!
